When we are bombarded with house and work tasks, family troubles, and relationships gone wrong, we seek other ways to be happy and to stay positive. We want to feel good about ourselves despite the difficulties we are going through because we know we need to. Being positive is one way of overcoming life challenges successfully. But how do we do that? Perhaps you should try Yoga.
Yoga increases body awareness, relieves stress, reduces muscle tension, strain, and inflammation, sharpens attention and concentration, and calms and centers the nervous system. — Deborah Khoshaba Psy.D.
Benefits of Yoga
Yoga is a practice that produces wonderful physical, mental and emotional benefits, some of which include relaxation, weight loss, healthy living, and enhanced self-esteem. It also improves balance and body alignment, and ultimately reduces the aging process.
The 5 Principles of Yoga
There is no particular technique that focuses solely on positive thinking. The five principles combined – pranayama, asanas, meditation, relaxation, and proper diet – are what evokes positivity, healing, and physical and mental wellness. It is the belief of yoga that when both body and mind work synergistically, the result is only bound to be positive.
Train your brain to think positively through these strategies:
This is the first principle of yoga. Asanas are types of exercise poses that like any exercise, enhances blood circulation and initiates the release of positive hormones. However, yoga is more concentrated on stretches, which further strengthen and awaken the body, promoting a remarkable level of flexibility. It breaks the barriers of the body’s chakras and tremendously helps get rid of negative thought patterns.

Simply put, this is the type of breathing used in the practice of yoga and apparently the appropriate kind of breathing that we should follow. Pranayama teaches an individual the right way of breathing and also helps you become aware of your own breathing pattern as well. When you learn this, you will feel much better inside out, as yogic breathing promotes detoxification and rejuvenation.
This third principle is consequently achieved when you have successfully mastered your asanas and yogic breathing. The two principles are powerful stimulants of positive thinking and relaxation. After you have done the poses, your muscles are drained from all the contractions and balancing postures that there is no other way for them but to rest and let go, expelling the negativity and creating sufficient space for a relaxed body and mind.
Leaving your worries and hurts and focusing on the moment where there is peace and calm within yourself is a goal that is effectively achieved by meditation. This is a powerful yoga principle that guides you into training your brain to think positive thoughts. Part of the yoga practice is closing your eyes, positioning your hands into prayer and committing to a goal for that particular session. This initial stage clears your mind as you begin your practice, and you forget everything else but the poses and the breathing.
Wherever you are, notice 5 things you can see, then 5 things you can hear, and then 5 things you can physically feel. Continue with four things in each category, then 3 things in each category, then 2 and, finally, 1. — Nicole S. Urdang, M.S., NCC, DHM
The Proper Diet
Are you eating right? And what exactly does yoga mean when it says the right or proper diet? Yoga enthusiasts explain that the food you consume greatly affects the way your body and mind works. Eating natural and organic food such as fruits and vegetables helps promote physical and mental wellness. Of course, when the body and mind are working well, you think positively and productively.
When you have practiced yoga for a few months, you won’t need convincing that yoga is indeed very helpful in expelling negativity from your mind and body. It guides you into accepting and loving yourself and provides you with the confidence to live a simple, non-judgmental and happy life.
Emotional stress is a sensation that practically everyone is the least fond of. If only there’s an app that can reboot your brain to exclude that from the responses the organ can carry out, many would’ve opted for it. But, alas, the foreseeable future continues to show that we’ll most likely grow old with pressures still bugging us. This site mentions more about it www.wshcd.org/ Continue reading “The Proper Mindset To Prevent Emotional Stress”
Last Christmas, I had this exciting idea. Instead of giving out money and things bought from stores or online, I created organic and aromatherapy gifts for my family and friends. It was a challenge to build things from scratch, but the sentiment of doing it and knowing that someone will be happy is the best feeling for me ever. At least, I am productive, and by that, I have a positive mental attitude.
Anyway, I was right! People I gave gifts to were thankful for my sentimental and straight-from-the-heart DIY presents. It was much appreciated, and well, they called me “thoughtful.”
I was watching a video uploaded on Facebook yesterday and it was from the Golden Globes. Apparently, they decided to grantMs. Oprah Winfrey the Cecil B. Demille Award, and it was given to her by another powerful woman influencer, Reese Witherspoon.
Anyway, Oprah being Oprah, she knew how to speak in front of people that would arouse inspiration and motivation. She started her speech about a poor girl being raised by a single mom (of course, it was her) who watched Sidney Poitier, an African-American man, win the same award that she received just a few moments ago. They were the only African-American people to ever receive such an honor, and to me, that’s a great deal of achievement.
Concerned adults advise their descendants to choose a career wisely, though it’s not just because it’ll help increase your income. While that pushes people to become extra productive, you need to work in a field you’re passionate about to avoid feeling bored.
Assuming you’re unaware of it, boredom is only tolerable for individuals who don’t need a job to live. Once it affects someone in the labor force, everything appears to be in slow motion. Of course, it’s not a satisfactory behavior that will make your superiors want to keep you around.

Besides fortune and fame, have you ever thought of what sets celebrities apart from non-celebrities? It’s their overflowing confidence, no less.
They can act, dance or sing in front of thousands (or even millions) of the audience without feeling self-conscious. When a scandalous rumor comes out, they either handle the issue with poise or choose to ignore. That’s how much props these personalities give themselves.
In truth, self-confidence can take you to greater heights of success, even though you’re not pursuing a career in the entertainment business. You need to develop it from the time you start walking during your toddler days up to the moment you become a retiree. It can also lead you to a lot of worthwhile things, such as:
There are days when I just can’t help but feel different. It is the reason why I have developed a series of “happy thoughts” because I refuse to let negative things and situations pull me down. I repel pessimism and only practice optimism.

Yes, you can practice it and a simple sentence of three words like – I am beautiful – will make me and you feel better and more positive. Try it for yourself!
